I took my first yoga class in 2001, in the gymnasium of a local school.  Despite the less than desirable atmosphere & the fact that I wasn't exactly comfortable without my socks in a cold gym, there was something about the way I felt in Savasana (even lying on my squishy royal blue mat from the dollar store) that made me go back week after week for more.  In the years that followed, my life became more and more hectic, my law career took me permanently to Manhattan and I became a mom...three times :-)  Despite the fact that I actually needed yoga more than ever, it somehow fell by the wayside. Eventually, however, while in desperate need of some "me time,"  I once again found my way to the mat and this time, there was no going back.  As a complete "type-A" personality, I thrive on the challenges that yoga presents, both physically and spiritually.  Yoga is a way of life and has nothing at all to do with whether or not your body can achieve a certain pose.

I am a 500 hour RYT, having received my 200 hour certification from The Funky Om Yoga & Wellness in Huntington, New York, a 500 hour yoga teaching certification from Kripalu School of  Yoga in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, and my 500 hour Ayurveda yoga teaching certification from Kripalu's School of Ayurveda.  I am currently pursuing my Ayurveda Health Counselor Certification, also at Kripalu School of Ayurveda.  You can find me every week teaching classes at The Funky Om Yoga & Wellness in Huntington, NY, as well as Absolute Yoga in Woodbury.  It is, and always will be, my absolute privilege to share the gift of yoga and Ayurveda with others.

I look forward to seeing you in class!
